Carolyn Brice Brooks

American ceramics artist and administrator, born 1949
BiographyBased in Austin, Texas, Carolyn Brice Brooks is an artist and administrator known for ceramics and porcelain bowls, plates, and vases. She earned her master's degrees in ceramics from the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Austin and participated in the 1983 Craft Fair at Rhinebeck in New York. She was a member of the artist group Blue Moon, which included Kathryn O'Grady, Dick Hedgepth, and Gail Marie Fischer and resulted in several collaborative functional pieces. After earning a master's of education in Education Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, she became a counselor in the Eanes Independent School District, although she still exhibits locally.
