Shelley RobzenAmerican sculptor, born 1952

Shelley Robzen studied Fine Arts at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York where she received her degree in sculpture in 1974. After graduation she moved to Pietrasanta, Italy and has been living and working there ever since. In Italy she studied under Guglielmo Antognazzi, the oldest living master sculptor in the area. She is also known for her photography; her photographic series "Omaggio ai Maestri Artigiani," which was exhibited in Italy and in Texas, depicts the sculpture community of Pietrasanta, documenting the disappearing ancient techniques taught by the local masters. Her sculpture has been exhibited and is included in private collections in the United States, Italy, France, England, Canada, Norway and Hong Kong.
