Maria Henle
American printmaker, 1955–2007
Through her travels, Henle captured the landscapes of the Andes, Nepal, Iceland, and other countries through her art. Henle's art blends realistic visuals and abstract compositions and she uses layering and color to create illusion and depth. Her work is in the collections of the University of Texas, Austin; Bank of America, Charlotte, NC; and Metropolitan Life, New York City. In 1993, she founded the Maria Henle Studio in St. Croix, which is now the Henle Gallery.
