Wolf Kahn

Wolf Kahn was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1927 and immigrated to the United States in 1940. He studied with Hans Hofmann and in 1951 obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago. Kahn began exhibiting with the Grace Borgenicht Gallery in 1956 and has travelled extensively; painting the natural landscape he visits. The artist is well known for his luminous color field paintings, which he blends with realism.
