Kit-Yin Snyder

Kit-Yin Snyder is known for her site-specific environmental art practice. Born in Guangzhou, China, she immigrated to the United States as a teenager and studied mathematics at the University of Michigan. Snyder achieved wide recognition with her debut film, "Double Exposure," which explores her identity as a Chinese American. She is the recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York Foundation for the Arts and has exhibited her work at sites both in the United States and abroad. She is also known for her large-scale steel sculpture in Margaret Mitchell Square, in Atlanta, GA, that pays homage to the visuals of "Gone With the Wind," as well as her sculptural installation "Judgement," located in New York City.
