Burton Wasserman

American painter and printmaker, born 1929
BiographyBorn 1929 in Brooklyn, New York, Burton Wasserman was educated at Brooklyn College and studied painting with Ad Reinhart and Burgoyne Diller. Influenced by the De Stijl movement, Wasserman's prints and paintings are composed of vibrant, primary colors and basic, geometric shapes. In addition to exhibiting throughout the Northeast, Wasserman was a professor at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey until his retirement in 2004. He has published fine arts articles and books and reviews of exhibitions through the Delaware Valley.
