Jill Baroff

American painter, born 1954
BiographyJill Baroff was born in Summit, New Jersey and lives and works in New York. She obtained her bachelor of fine arts degree from Antioch University in 1976 and continued her studies through the Artist Seminars Program at the Whitney Museum of American Art and in post graduate studies at Hunter College in the early 1980s. Baroff is the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships including Pollock-Krasner Foundation fellowships in 1987 and 1993, an Aaron Siskind Foundation grant in photography in 2001, and an Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation grant in 2007. Baroff has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and her work is included in the public collections of the Fogg Art Museum, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and the Staedel Museum in Frankfurt, Germany, among many others.
