BiographyA respected documentary photographer, Kristin Capp has published several photo books that document her travels. Trained as a classical violinist, Capp attended McGill University in Quebec, where she began studying photography. She has had solo museum shows at Albuquerque Museum of Art, Carleton College, Northwest Museum of Art and Culture (Spokane), Frye Her work is in the collections of the Whitney Museum, Brooklyn Museum, International Center for Photography, Seattle Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Center for Creative Photography (University of Arizona), and High Museum among others. She has won many awards including a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship in 2007, the Olympus Europa Award in 2005, the Aaron Siskind Foundation Award in 2001, and the Kodak Book Award (for Hutterite) in 1998.
