Helen Mason

American artist
BiographyHelen Mason received her MFA from the University of Delaware and her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design/Brown University. Among her many honors are a National Endowment for the Arts/Delaware State Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship, a Gulbenkian Foundation Grant, and a Delaware Art Museum Purchase Award. She was appointed by the Governor to the Board of the Delaware State Arts Council serving two terms, served on the Board of the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, and directed the Art Program as Chairman at the Tatnall School, Wilmington, Delaware.

Selected national and international exhibitions include the American Craft Museum, New York, New York; the Vonderau Museum, Fulda, Germany; The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DE; Delaware Art Museum, Wilmington, Delaware; Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, Wilmington, Delaware; The Fort Wayne Museum, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Galleries: Aaron Faber, New York, New York; Mobilia, Cambridge, Massachusetts; Jewelers' Werk, Washington, DC; Sybaris, Royal Oak, Michigan; Takashimaya, Gallery If, in Tokyo, Japan; International Design Center, Nagoya, Japan; and Mokkumto, Seoul, Korea. Permanent collections include the High Museum in Atlanta, Georgia, the Delaware Art Museum and Hercules, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware and the Kalamazoo Institute of Art in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
