Lanny Bergner

American sculptor, born 1952
BiographyLarry Bergner is known for his fiber, installation, and sculptural basketry art. Born in Anacortes, Washington, he earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Washington and the Tyler School of Art. He has received numerous awards and fellowships, including two Visual Arts Fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and is represented in the collections of the Museum of Art and Design, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among other institutions. He primarily uses mesh as a medium to create organic and biomorphic-inspired forms.
