BiographyThelma Grobes received her undergraduate degree from Temple University and her graduate degree from Tyler School of Art. She taught elementary school in Philadelphia, has exhibited extensively with Artists' House Gallery in Philadelphia, and is the recipient of two fellowships from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Grobes' etchings—influenced by an interest in the figure and late 19th century art movements—are in the collections of the Free Library of Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Delaware Art Museum.
