Blaise Tobia

Blaise Tobia states a continuous desire to "bring together form, concept, and meaning" in his photographs. A professor at Drexel University since 1985, Tobia arranges pairings that offer either complimentary views of a subject or opposing points for comparison and discussion. The artist received his undergraduate degree in fine art from Brooklyn College in 1974 and completed his master of fine art degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1977. Tobia has exhibited and lectured extensively throughout the United States, and his photographs are included in the collections of the Archives of the City of New York, the Delaware Art Museum, and the Free Library of Philadelphia.
