William Wolfson
American painter, printmaker, and illustrator, 1894–1966
Wolfson worked in an urban realist mode inspired by Ashcan School artists like Robert Henri and John Sloan in the 1920s and 1930s. He produced a significant body of artwork for Reader's Digest during the 1940s, and his paintings and lithographs are held by numerous public and private institutions. Willam Wolfson died at Los Angeles, California.
