BiographyA practitioner of martial arts, Harmony Lynn Hammond infuses her art making with the spirituality and meditative nature of her physical practice. The artist has explored a variety of abstract forms—rag rug “floorpieces,” wrapped sculptures, and monochromatic paintings—from the 1970s to the present. Double Elegy is similar in style and color to a series of abstract monotypes and paintings of the same name from 2004.
