Lisa BradleyAmerican painter, born 1951

Lisa Bradley was born in Columbus, Ohio, and received her undergraduate degree from Boston University in 1973. The artist acknowledges gallery owner and artist, Betty Parsons, as an important mentor in her early career. While reminiscent of Abstract Expressionism, Bradley’s work is informed by a strong interest in Eastern religion and spirituality. Her paintings have been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe, including a solo show in Helsinki, Finland. Bradley’s work is included in the collections of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Delaware Art Museum, among many others.
