Mary Jane Conning Robinson

American designer and textile artist
BiographyMary Jane Conning Robinson graduated from the University of Delaware and was the art teacher at the Cool Spring and Cedar Hill elementary schools and artist-in-residence for batik at the Marbrook Elementary School in Wilmington, Delaware. She taught batik classes at the Delaware Art Museum and led workshops at the Brandywine Arts Festival in the late 1960s and 1970s. An active participant in the Wilmington contemporary art community, Robinson exhibited at The Wind Bell, Inc. in Centerville, Delaware and the Warehouse Gallery in Arden, Delaware and was regularly included in the Delaware Art Museum's annual juried craft exhibitions.
