BiographyScott Fraser was born in Evanston, Illinois in 1957 and studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, the University of Colorado at Denver, and abroad at the Atelierhaus in Worpswede, Germany. In addition to being included in countless group exhibitions on contemporary representational painting, Fraser’s work was the subject of a mid-career retrospective that opened at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa in 1998 and travelled to the Evansville Museum of Arts and Science. Fraser’s meticulous, contemporary still lives can be found in the collections of the Arkansas Art Museum, the Brandywine River Museum of Art in Pennsylvania, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, among numerous other public institutions.Person TypeIndividual
