BiographyA painter and illustrator of historical subjects, Hassmann was also a cartoonist for Puck magazine in the early 20th century. He designed many color covers. Like Puck's founder, Keppler, he hailed from Vienna, Austria. Hassmann was living in the United States and working for Puck, from 1904 to 1911.
