Udo J. Keppler, known professionally as Joseph Keppler Jr., was the son of cartoonist Joseph Keppler who founded Puck magazine. Keppler Jr. contributed cartoons to Puck and became co-owner of the magazine after his father's death. In addition to his work as an artist, Keppler was an advocate for Native American affairs. He collected Native artifacts and was adopted by Seneca Nation.
