BiographyLouis Glackens was the older brother of American painter William Glackens. A native of Philadelphia, in the early 1890s he began working as a comics and cartoon artist for Puck. During his over-20 year career there, he created covers and humorous drawings centering on a wide ranges of subjects, especially politics. He also illustrated for general interest magazines, newspapers, book publishers and advertisers, and for film and animation studios.
