Joseph Detwiler

American ceramicist, born 1951

BiographyJoseph Detwiler studied at Goshen College in Indiana and at the University of Colorado at Boulder before received his master of fine arts degree in ceramics from George Washington University in 1982. Detwiler taught at the University of Colorado, Boulder, at Roanoke College, and at Mary Washington College (now University of Mary Washington). His ceramics have been included in exhibitions through the United States and abroad, and his work is in the collections of the Delaware Art Museum and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, among others.
