George A. “Frolic” Weymouth
American artist, 1936–2016
BiographyFrolic Weymouth was an artist and conservationist. The son of Dulcinea Ophelia Payne du Pont and entrepreneur George Tyler Weymouth, he was raised and made his home in the Brandywine Valley. He graduated from Yale University with a degree in American studies. Through artistic circles he became close friends with Andrew Wyeth and helped found the Brandywine River Museum. Weymouth produced portraits and landscapes and worked primarily in watercolor and tempera.
