Rhonda Zwillinger

American painter (1950–2019)
BiographyRhonda Zwillinger received her undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College and continued studies at the Art Students League of New York, Parsons School of Design, and the Cape Cod School of Art. Zwillinger was an active member of the East Village art scene in New York City in the 1980s and is well known for her maximalist treatment of everyday objects. Zwillinger exhibited extensively with Gracie Mansion Gallery throughout the 1980s and continued showing throughout the United States and abroad through the 1990s and 2000s. The artist received public commissions throughout the world and is included in the collections of the Delaware Art Museum, German Shoe Museum in Hauenstein, Groninger Museum in the Netherlands, and Paterson Museum in New Jersey, among others.
