BiographyCreighton Michael is based in New York City and holds a master's degree in art history from Vanderbilt University and a master of fine arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Michael has been committed to the practice of drawing and an exploration of the line through various processes—drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and video. He has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Princeton University, and Hunter College and is a member of the American Abstract Artists group. Michael’s work is included in numerous collections, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Brooklyn Museum, and he has had solo exhibition throughout the east coast and Europe, including at the Delaware Contemporary in Wilmington in 2007.
