Eugene Feldman

American printmaker, 1921–1975
BiographyEugene Feldman was born in Woodbine, New Jersey in 1921. He attended the Philadelphia School of Industrial Art, now known as the University of the Arts, in Philadelphia. The following year he joined the army where he served in the U.S. Army Mapping Unit. When Feldman came back to Philadelphia a few years later, he founded the Falcon Press. He also worked as Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1966, Feldman was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship for Research in Photo-Offset Lithography. He has many prints in the Philadelphia Museum of Art and other collections. He passed away in Philadelphia in 1975.
