BiographyAndy Warhol is considered to be one of the leading figures in the Pop Art movement of the 1950s and 1960s. He worked first as a commercial artist and illustrator and later created paintings and sculptures based on imagery from consumer culture. Warhol is known for his experimental work in silkscreen and film as well as the establishment of his cult of identity and artist workshop, the Factory.
