William Bailey

American painter and draftsman, born 1930

BiographyWilliam Bailey attended the University of Kansas, School of Fine Arts and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale School of Art where he studied under Joseph Albers. He taught at the Yale School of Art until 1995, retiring as the Kingman Brewster Professor Emeritus of Art. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States and is included in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Whitney Museum of American Art; and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts; among many others.
