Eugene Fitsch

American printmaker, 1892–1972
BiographyFitsch is best known for his prints picturing New York theaters, from Radio City Music Hall to the Provincetown Playhouse in Greenwich Village. Born in Alsace-Lorraine, he moved to the United States in 1913. He studied at the Art Students League in New York and taught there from 1925 to 1933. He worked as a scenic artist and designer in New York theaters.
