BiographyFaith Burrows (1904–1997) was a nationally syndicated cartoonist during the Jazz Age. Burrows drew a daily one-panel cartoon called Ritzy Rosey from 1927 to 1928. In 1929 she started Flapper Filosofy that ran from January 28, 1929, to February 13, 1936. Both panels were for King Features. Another related comic strip, the Beautyettes, was started in 1932 and attributed to Aldine Swank. This was a Burrows pseudonym. She moved into her husband’s film production business in the late 1930s and ceased to publish cartoon work.
