Label TextIn 1934, Edgerton exhibited this photograph at the Royal Photographic Society in London, where he and his collaborators—former students Herbert E. Grier and Kenneth J. Germeshausen—were awarded a bronze medal. This early photograph captures the spiraling vortices of smoke caused by whirling fan blades.
