Label TextThis drawing serves as a warning of the physical health dangers of the tight lacing then favored in ladies’ corsets. It was published in the English Women’s Journal, co-founded by Barbara Bodichon and her friend and fellow women’s rights reformer Elizabeth Parkes. The Journal fulfilled the need for a trusted information network for women.
