Label TextThis image is probably the bay of Algiers with the Atlas mountain range in the distance as seen from Barbara Bodichon’s Algerian home. In 1859 the couple purchased, ‘Campagne du Pavillon,’ a house located on the eastern side of the city of Algiers. The location provided breathtaking views of city and sea beyond.
