Label TextIn this drawing, Barbara Bodichon has captured the gnarled trunks of the argan tree in a wadi, or ravine, a configuration that is typical of the Algerian landscape. The dryness of the desert climate is conveyed in the muted colors and bright patches of sunlight on the sandy soil in the foreground.
