American watercolor painter, 1901–1995
BiographyBorn in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Carpenter studied at the School of Fine Arts in Boston and in Provincetown with Charles Hawthorne. After moving to Delaware in 1950, she continued her studies with Carolyn Wyeth and joined the Studio Group, a Wilmington, Delaware, artists' association. Carpenter exhibited at the Delaware Art Museum in the 1950s and 1960s.
