Betsy Wood CochranAmerican artist, 1915–2012

Local artist Betsy Cochran was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and studied at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C., and the Art Students League in New York. Locally, she studied with Charles Parks and Carolyn Wyeth and took classes and exhibited in juried shows at the Delaware Art Museum in the 1950s. She was a member of the Studio Group in Wilmington and the Rehoboth Art League. She moved to Los Gatos, California, where she joined the Tahoe Watercolor Society and the Santa Clara Watercolor Society.
