British etcher, 1869–1956
BiographyEnglish etcher, born in Cardiff. He studied at the Royal College of Art and won a scholarship which allowed him to travel to Paris and Italy. In 1895 he was appointed Principal of the Bristol Municipal School of Art where he remained for 39 years. He was an active fisherman and was keen on all forms of sport, especially Rugby.
