Wendy Hatch

American artist, born 1948
BiographyWendy Hatch's over 50-year artistic career began with printmaking in the seventies. Hatch studied with Don Cortese at Syracuse University, and the influence of prominent printmakers, such as Leonard Baskin, and printmaking trends of the time are evident in her prints from the 1970s and 1980s. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute in 1972. Hatch has a long teaching career in the greater Wilmington, Delaware area. She taught at Widener University from 1982 until her retirement in 2020 and ongoing at the Delaware Art Museum. Hatch is celebrated for her skill and creativity in her prints, watercolors, and paintings, which are included in numerous public and corporate collections.
