Edith Neff

American painter, 1943–1995
BiographyPhiladelphia native Edith Neff received her bachelor's degree from the Philadelphia College of Art (University of the Arts) in 1965 and taught at the school for 15 years following. In 1978, she began teaching figure drawing and painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts until her death in 1995. Neff is best known for her images of people, animals, the landscape, and the architecture of her native city.
