Paul Wescott

American painter, 1904–1970
BiographyBorn in Milwaukee, Wescott attended the Art Institute of Chicago before moving east to study at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where he won the Toppan Landscape Prize and a Cresson travel scholarship. When he returned from his travels through Europe, Wescott took a job in the art department of the Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where he taught until 1952. He lived in West Chester and spent his summers in Friendship, Maine.
