BiographyBorn in St. Paul, Minnesota, van Sloun studied in New York with Robert Henri and was involved with his teacher in organizing the 1910 Exhibition of Independent Artists. He moved to California where he taught, exhibited, and painted murals in San Francisco Bay area.
