BiographyA prolific landscape painter in oil and watercolor, Lewis was born in Philadelphia and spent most of his life there. Lewis trained with Paul Weber and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where he was elected an Associate at age 24. He was best known for landscapes and marine paintings of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and New England.
