BiographyKenton Poole is known as an artist, teacher, and arts administrator. Specializing in functional stoneware ceramics, he earned his master of fine arts degree from the University of Delaware following an undergraduate degree in biology from Springfield College in Massachusetts and was President of the Council for Delaware Craftsmen. He became the arts director for the city of Newark, Delaware at the age of twenty-five, where he was involved in strengthening arts and cultural programming for the local community. Poole taught at Mount Pleasant High School, the Delaware Art Museum, and the Jewish Community Center.
