Alan Burslem

Alan Burslem is based in Arden, Delaware, where he has been working as a potter for several decades. He originally studied forestry at the University of West Virginia until deciding to study fine art; he later earned his master of fine arts degree from the University of Delaware. Burslem primarily works in stoneware and is known for making his own clay, creating both decorative and functional pieces. He has taught at the Delaware Art Museum and has participated in the Northeast Craft Market in Rhinebeck, New York.
