BiographyKenneth Beittel is a potter and ceramicist. He taught at Pennsylvania State University for several decades, where he conducted and published research in art education and curriculum development. After retiring from teaching in 1984, Beittel wrote "Zen and the Art of Pottery," which was inspired by Japanese, Korean, and Chinese approaches to the craft. Today he and his wife Chrishanti live and work in State College, where they specialize in using pottery and other art forms for therapeutic healing purposes.
