Jack Troy

Jack Troy is a potter, writer, and former educator known for his wood-fired ceramics. He is also notable for his use of the Japanese-inspired anagama kiln, which incorporates wood ash into the work’s glaze. Troy taught literature and ceramics at Juniata College in Pennsylvania for several decades and has written several books on his pottery techniques. He has also won numerous awards for his work, including the Excellence in Teaching Award from the National Council for Education in Ceramic Arts, as well as two Craft Fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
