Kocot and Hatton
BiographyKocot and Hatton are Philadelphia-based artists that work collaboratively. Marcia Kocot was educated at the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Thomas Hatton also studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. The artist pair has been commissioned by the Delaware Art Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among others, to create works of art relating to the collections and exhibitions, and the artists have received grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and the Franz and Virginia Bader Fund. Kocot and Hatton began exhibiting in 1966 in Philadelphia and have been included in numerous exhibitions throughout the Northeast since.
