Alfred Bendiner

American artist and architect, 1899–1964
BiographyAlfred Bendiner was an artist, architect, and author based in Philadelphia. His caricatures of local personalities, which appeared regularly in the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, earned him the nickname "the Hirschfeld of Philadelphia." He traveled widely in Europe, Iraq, and Central and South America for work and pleasure and chronicled the places he visited in drawings and watercolors.
