Edith BryAmerican painter and printmaker, 1898–1992

Bry was born in St. Louis and studied in Paris and Madrid, as well as at the Art Students League in New York with Alexander Archipenko. She traveled extensively through Europe, North Africa, Central and South America, and the United States, and she her drew her subjects from these diverse locations. Her work is in major American collections, including the Library of Congress, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the New York Public Library.
