American painter, 1882–1950
BiographyBorn in Moscow, Baylinson emigrated to the United States in the early 20th century. In New York he studied with Robert Henri. He was deeply involved with the Society of Independent Artists, working alongside John Sloan for many years. He also taught at the Art Students League.
