Label TextStanley Arthurs illustrated the aristocratic Henry Critchley, who, realizing that he has been discovered in the theft of jewels, is shocked that the lowly employee of a diamond merchant firm, Archibald Jones, has outwittrf him. Focusing mainly on facial expressions, Arthurs uses a vignette style, where contours are shaded off, blending with the page, in order to accommodate text.
